Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Josh’s Wine Tasting Videos

We publish hundreds of wine tasting videos, but you may not realize all the work that goes into our selection process before the video is shot. Many wines that come through Josh’s office never get their five minutes of fame.

The huge variety of wine at WineExpress isn’t easy to cultivate! We take into account all the different varietals, geographic regions, price levels, ratings and vintages when searching for new wines to offer. We don’t want to bother with wines that are just decent enough to pass the test. We want wines that truly excel. Therefore, the tasting, selecting, and buying process has to be top-notch. A wine can be good, but with too high of a price tag. It can even be a wine that we’ve sold hundreds of cases of in the past, but the vintage just wasn’t as good as the previous. Our goal is to provide the best of the best while maintaining a varied selection to meet everyone’s preferences. Our tasting panel is constantly pitting wines against their grueling palates and turning down the ones that don’t make the cut.

After the wines are chosen and we’re certain that they’re special enough to be featured on our website, it’s time to shoot the video tasting! Here Josh focuses only on that one wine, offering an in-depth description on its aroma, taste, and the things that make it truly special. Customers that are subscribed to our email list are the first to know about our promotions. Selling out within hours of our emails is quite common since the best wines are often highly sought after and very limited! This is especially the case in wines like Caymus, Insignia, and any huge deals we get (we’ll be sure to warn you first!).

We love getting feedback on wines, whether it’s good or bad! Your comments help us pinpoint what our customers are looking for and make the selection processes even more fine-tuned. What kinds of wine would you like to see more of at WineExpress.com? Are there any video tastings you’d be interested in watching?

The WineExpress Team brings you the latest wine news and exciting recommendations! We’ll talk about what we’re currently drinking and the wines we are looking forward to. There will be a lot of different opinions and we’d love to hear yours too!
