Our customers may recall last year we offered an Oakville Cabernet from a very small production winery which included some juice from the #1 Wine of the Year of 2015. It was easily one of our best-selling and most highly customer rated wines. Well, we were able to source another fabulous wine from these fine producers that our tasting panel liked even more… much, much more!
This 2012 Red Blend has a good dose of Cab in it as well, but is crafted in more of a Prisoner/Paraduxx style. It is rich and layered with tons of gorgeous fruit, supple tannins, a couple of years of oak aging and a finish that doesn’t seem to end. If I were allowed to tell you the names of the wineries that provided juice for this blend, this wine would be twice the price as its cohorts. But let’s just say the pedigree for this lusciously opulent juice is simply top notch. It typically does retail for about the same price as those well known red blends at around $45, not that you can find it anywhere else. We were so in love with this wine we bought up all we could and in doing so were able to get it at a phenomenal deal… which we are thrilled to pass on to our loyal Wine Express customers. So be sure to check your email in the morning, because at UNDER $20 a Bottle by the Case, this limited production stunner may not even last through the noon hour. Update: This one sold out fast! It was the 29 & Oak 2012 Proprietary Red, Napa Valley!
