I don’t know about you but, personally, nothing is more enjoyable for me than sipping on a truly well-crafted Pinot Noir. There is just something about the elegance and refinement a top quality Pinot can exude that no other grape variety can offer. The problem is that truly exceptional Pinot usually comes with a price tag that makes it difficult to justify a purchase. That is of course, unless you uncover a hidden gem at a crazy value price… which is exactly what we just did!
This 2013 Willamette Valley Pinot is jaw-droppingly delicious from start to finish. And why wouldn’t it be? With a seasoned Domaine Serene and Shea Vineyards winemaker at the helm there is no question of the overall structure, intensity and balance this wine brings to the table. I could tell you all about the cold soaking this wine goes through or the extended maceration, or even the percentage of whole cluster fruit included and the French oak aging it goes through. But let’s be honest, what makes this Pinot a complete steal is that it has the aroma, palate and feel of a high end Pinot like Domaine Serene at a fraction of the cost! When we found out how little of it was made we had no choice but to scoop it all up and, in doing so, were able to work out an amazing price to be able to bring this killer juice to our valued Wine Express customers at under $20 a bottle by the Case!
It is so good, we had to put a restriction on employee purchases because it was going so fast in house as soon as it hit our warehouse! So be sure to check your email early and often tomorrow, as we don’t envision this one lasting through noon once our Wine of the Day offer goes out! If you aren’t already subscribed to our emails, you can register here to have great wine deals like this one delivered right to your inbox!
Update: It was the Eisold-Smith 2013 Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley! Check out the wine tasting video above and be quick to grab some because it’s already almost sold out!
Cheers,
