This Napa Cab we brought in is easily our acquisition of the year, and here’s why. This Cab was artfully crafted by an Opus One veteran winemaker with fruit sourced from the To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville, among other elite single vineyards in Napa. But there’s more… It hails from the 2008 vintage, a year in which wines have been aging beautifully and gracefully across the board, which is clearly the case with this rare find. With 21 months of oak aging, this wine is ridiculously well structured, balanced and elegant and astounded every single person in our company who had the pleasure of sampling it… EVERYONE!!
Now for the reason you want to remain seated. Wines of this caliber from this region can cost over $100, so this wine is a good value even when purchased at the winery for $55. But we made the deal of a lifetime and are going to be able to bring this stunning gem to our Wine Express customers for under $30 a bottle by the Case!! Since there was not much left we couldn’t get the quantity we wanted, so this will not be a long lasting deal. But this is one of those buying opportunities you may regret if you don’t fully load up on it, as once our allotment is gone… it’s gone for good. It’s a perfect wine that you are able to enjoy now, however it will continue to evolve and improve over the next 3-5 years.
