Arriving by Email Tomorrow: Think Monte Bello at a Fraction of the Price…

I’ll admit it, when this bottle landed in front of our tasting panel… we didn’t think much of it. The label looked pretty nice, but nothing too extravagant. It wasn’t Napa, it wasn’t Alexander Valley, it was from somewhere less well known for Cab. So how good could this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon really be? Well, this was one time we were THRILLED that our instincts were way off.

We tasted this absolutely stunning Cab and everyone was blown away by its elegance, structure, fruit core and a finish that seemed to never end. After we did a little research, this made all the sense in the world. As it turns out, there are a couple of Cabs from this region that are no slouches. This Single Vineyard Cab is produced just a stone’s throw away from the famed and iconic Ridge Monte Bello vineyard in one direction and Mt. Eden in another, which is why it displays so much of that same character. A major wine publication agreed, scoring it 93 points and adding it to their elusive Cellar Selection list boasting it will only improve over the next decade.

With under 250 cases of this very limited juice produced, there wasn’t much for us to bring in. So we scooped up all we possibly could and in doing so are able to bring this phenomenal, pure Cabernet to our valued and knowledgeable customers at under $40 a bottle by the case!! So be ready tomorrow morning when our email goes out, as I can’t imagine there will be any of this left by the time the sun goes down. If you aren’t already subscribed to our emails, you can register here to have great wine deals like this one delivered right to your inbox!

Update: It was the Santa Cruz Mountain Vineyard 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon, Luchessi Vineyard, hope there’s still some left!

Cheers,
